Lawn Chair Theater

One of the best things about living on our neighborhood is all of the kids and families that surround us. With that, there is usually something going on just about every Friday or Saturday night in the summer (weather permitting, of course). Usually, it's just driveway bonfires with s'mores for the kids and beverages for the adults. Last night, one of our neighbors pulled out a video projector, hung up some sheets, and set up a movie in the backyard. The kids loved it!! Unfortunately, since it was an impromptu event (as most of these summer gatherings usually are), many of the neighborhood children were already asleep, so what you see in the pictures is just a fraction of the "usual" kids that hang out together. There are already plans being made for the next one. Hopefully, next time there will be a bit more further notice, and we are thinking that our yard, with a small hill, will provide a better seating/viewing experience. We can't wait!

Of course, no backyard summer party would be complete without a few fountains (it's only Minnesota so we can't buy the good ones here).
